Keep Pushing With The Seed.......

Over the last 2 days the crew has been busy pressing forward with our new maintenance approach. Our theme is "Attention to Detail" and "Press Forward".  Having said that,  we are incorporating new seed into all areas impacted on our greens with 007 Bentgrass seed.  Each area is hand spiked and lightly topdressed with a dry sand/seed mixture.  This process will continue over the rest of the season.  As each day passes, the areas will become smaller and our greens will be back on top.  Also, during this period will modify our spray program to protect and encourage new growth for a rapid recovery.  Today we are applying an organic fertilizer that is safe will provide a great food source for our new seedlings and will also promote lateral growth of our existing bentgrass.  Keeping the seed and new germination moist with light hand watering applications will be carried out throughout this work. The crew has adapted well and quick to my maintenance plan.  All good stuff as we take advantage of this great growing weather.  See you on the course, Chris
