I was very excited to out on the course early this morning with our maintenance team grooming and preparing the course for the Hollow Brook Member Member The crew has truly stepped up to the challenge and are all adapting to our new maintenance plan. As every day passes and we complete our daily maintenance plan, the course will only get better. Since my arrival, all bunkers are now being hand raked. This will improve the sand depth consistency and overall better sand playing conditions. I am pleased with the greens recovery program and the direction we are heading with all this great weather. We have spiked, seeded and topdressed all bad areas. Coinciding with this work we applied a very aggressive foliar fertilizer pack that will help push growth and speed up the recovery. I like to refer to this as "steroids for the turf". Again, I continue to enjoy meeting each member on the course. The welcome I have been receiving is amazing. I already feel at home!
