As mentioned during the week, we have been working hard at incorporating bentgrass seed into our greens while we're experiencing these optimal growing conditions. Walking on the greens this morning, I am seeing new germination on all thin areas. This is great news as we push forward with our greens maintenance program. I am sure everyone has noticed a lot of white sand in patches on our greens. This sand was hand applied along with more seed. the purpose is to level any uneven surfaces and promote lateral growth from established turf and continue to introduce new seed. As this process continues over the next 2 weeks, the areas will become smaller. Tomorrow we are planning to sod the left collar on green #5. This is the only area I feel requires sodding for a quicker recovery. There is a positive thrust of energy from our membership on the course and this is carrying over to our maintenance staff. We are all excited! Take care, Chris
