Happy Labor Day!

The weather has certainly turned for the better as we wind down this holiday weekend.  Yesterday's rain was just what the turf doctor ordered as our greens recovery continues to improve.  Walking every green this morning I am very pleased with the direction we are heading as we enter the month of September.  The hand spiking and seeding is really responding coinciding with the light sanding.  The overall health of the greens has improved.  Also, our tee boxes have responded to our new maintenance approach.  We dropped the height of cut on all tee boxes and approaches to improve the turf quality and playability.  Dedicating a staff member to moving tee markers, filling tee divots and overall detail work daily has improved the turf quality on our tee boxes.  Please enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.  See you on the course! Chris
