Fall Projects Begin...

Lets hope this great weather continues as we press into the fall season.  Today, we completed re-grassing the red/gold tee on #3, white tee #5, (completed red tee), and black tee #14.  All tee surfaces were grassed with a low cut blue/rye which will aid in quicker divot recovery.  We also re-grassed the rough on #8 where the service road divides the fairway.  Maintaining bentgrass at a low height along the road was a difficult task leading to poor turf quality.  Therefore, we made the decision to grass this area with bluegrass.  Once the turf is rooted in, we'll begin maintaining this area at our step cut height.   Most importantly, this addition will provide no additional penalty with most golf shots advancing to the second part of the fairway.   We also have re-grassed certain "eye sore"areas in our fairways and roughs throughout the property. This is an ongoing project that will continue as the weather permits.  Pictures below illustrate the work and progress being done on your course.  Enjoy the wonderful weather and see you on course.  Chris
